1965.11.18.දින වර්ශයෙදි මැණික්දිවෙල සුන්දර ගමේ උපත ලැබූ මා එච් ඒ සුමනවිර මහතා මැණික්දිවෙල කනිෂ්ඨ විද්යාලයෙන් මූලික අධ්යාපනය ලැබීය ඉන් අනතුරුව මැණික්දිවෙල මහා විද්යාලයේන් අාපෝ ස ( ස පෙල) දක්වා ඉගෙන ගන්නා ලදී. ඉන් අනතුරුව එච් ඒ සුමනවිර මහතා ජාතික සෙවයට කැපවිය. පසුව දියතලාවේ හමුදා පුහුණු කදවූරේ ආධුනික සෙබළෙකු වශයෙන් යුධ පුහුණුව සාර්ථකව නිම කර පසුව නිත්ය ශ්රි ලංකා හතරවෙනි කාලතුවක්කු හමුදාවට අනුයුක්ත කරන ලදි. ඉන් පසු වසර විසිදෙකත් රට ජාතිය වෙනුවෙන් එච් ඒ සුමනවිර මහතාගේ තරුණ කාලය කැප කරමින් රටට සේවය කර තිබේ. එම සෙවා කාලය තුළ එච් ඒ සුමනවිර මහතා ලැබූ පදක්කම් වඩමාරච්චි පදක්කම, ස්වර්ණ ජයන්තිය පදක්කම, දිර්ග සේවා පදක්කම, සෙවාභිමානි පදක්කම ,පනස් වන පදක්කම, මානසික මේහෙයුන් පදක්කම, උතුර නැගෙනහිර රන සෙවා පදක්කම, පූර්ණ භූමි පදක්කම, රිවිරැස පදක්කම්, අාදි අැගයිම් රැසකින් පිදුම් ලැබිමේ භාග්ය එච් ඒ සුමනවිර මහතා හට හිමි විය.
Mr. H. A. Sumanaweera, who was born in the beautiful village of Menikdiwela on 18.11.1965, received his primary education from Menikdiwela Junior College and then studied at Menikdiwela Maha Vidyalaya up to A.P.O. (S) (S) level. After that, Mr. H. A. Sumanaweera dedicated himself to national service. Later, he successfully completed his military training as an apprentice soldier at the Diyatalawa Army Training Camp and was later attached to the regular Sri Lanka Fourth Artillery. After that, Mr. H. A. Sumanaweera has served the country for twenty-two years, dedicating his youth to the nation. During that service, Mr. H. A. Sumanaweera was fortunate to receive many awards, including the Vadamarachchi Medal, the Golden Jayanthi Medal, the Long Service Medal, the Sevabhimani Medal, the Fifty Medal, the Mental Worker Medal, the North and East Rana Seva Medal, the Purna Bhumi Medal, the Riviresa Medal, and many other awards.
Later, in April 2004, he retired from the Sri Lanka Artillery with honor. His service to the country did not end there, and he was later attached to the government-affiliated Ratna Lanka Security Company and was frequently involved in security duties. Later, Mr. H. A. Sumanaweera was appointed as the Chairman of the Area Security Committee. Later, he was engaged in duties as a regular officer in the security services of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (National Television). Mr. H. A. Sumanaweera, who brought peace to the country through the national operation to liberate the motherland from thirty years of brutal terrorism, is considered by Sri Lankans as a respected hero who will always remember Mother Lanka.
