රාගම උපත ලබා කොළඹ නාලන්දා විද්‍යාලයේ අධ්‍යාපනය ලැබීය. 1987 දී අ.පො.ස. උසස් පෙළ සමත් වී 1988 දී ශ්‍රී ලංකා නාවික හමුදාවට එක්විය. නාවික හමුදාවේ වසර 12 ක් සැපයුම් අංශයේ සේවය කළ අතර ඉන්දියානු නාවික හමුදාවේ උසස් සැපයුම් පාඨමාලාවක් හැදෑරීය. 2001 දී කොළඹ ජාත්‍යන්තර නාවික හා ඉංජිනේරු විද්‍යාලයේ ගබඩා භාරකරුවෙකු ලෙස සම්බන්ධ වී වසර දෙකක් සේවය කළේය. 2003 දී සෙලින්කෝ සමූහයට සම්බන්ධ වී වසර 5 ක් මෙහෙයුම් සහකාර කළමනාකරු ලෙස සේවය කළේය. 2008 දී ඕමාන් රාජකීය ගුවන් හමුදාවට බැඳී 2017 දක්වා සේවය කළ අතර මාණ්ඩලික සැරයන්වරයෙකු ලෙස ලොජිස්ටික්ස් හි සේවය කළේය. 2017 දී ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට පැමිණ එයිට්කන් ස්පෙන්ස් ලොජිස්ටික්ස් සමඟ එක්විය.
